Thirty-six years after the barbarian planet Eutopia was conquered by the Hadean Empire, Tribune Marcus Ciro is tasked to take control of Santu Región. Ciro is no diplomat, knows nothing about administration, but has a reputation for getting results. He has been given an order and, like any good soldier, follows it.
What Ciro walks into is more disturbing than assaulting a planetoid under fire. Rebellion and revolution from the barbarians. Indifference and systemic corruption from Empire officials. The problems become apparent within hours of his arrival, but the solutions could take decades. Unfortunately, he has one year to turn things around.
Living under the constant threat of assassination, Ciro is doggedly determined to complete his mission, but what happens next shocks the entire Hadean Empire.
